½ cup refined flour (maida)
1 cup powdered bread crumbs
2 cardamoms
2 cloves
Small piece of cinnamon
½ nutmeg
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ cup + ¼ cup sugar
½ cup orange juice
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
2 eggs
125 grams frozen butter
½ cup raisins
½ cup dates
½ cup tutti frutti
¼ cup cherry
1 tablespoon ginger
½ cup cashew nuts and almonds
Preparation
Caramelize ½ cup of sugar in a thick-bottomed pan, add water, and boil. Then, incorporate orange juice and boil again.
Add raisins, dates, cherry, tutti frutti, and ginger. Once fruits are fully cooked, add finely sliced nuts and set aside to cool.
Blend cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg with refined flour. Sieve the powder and add baking powder, bread crumbs, ¼ cup sugar, and grated orange peels. Mix well.
