Upcoming Announcement: Kerala’s Second Vandebharat Train Route

An announcement regarding the upcoming route of Kerala’s second Vandebharat train is expected to be made shortly. The Railway Board has stated that the details about the train’s route and schedule will be disclosed within the next two days. Recently, new train carriages were transported from Chennai to Mangalore. The Palakkad division of the railways has been directed to carry out necessary tests and preparations for the train’s operational readiness.

It is suggested that the train will most likely operate on the Mangaluru – Ernakulam route. Other potential routes being considered include Mangaluru- Thiruvananthapuram and Mangaluru to Goa. The final decision on the route will be made by the route decision committee of the Southern Railway.

Notably, the newly approved train carriages will feature saffron and gray colors instead of the current gray and blue scheme. The upcoming train will incorporate 25 modifications from the existing Vandebharat trains.
