Left is fearful of Oommen Chandy’s legacy,’ claims K Sudhakaran

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president, K Sudhakaran, expressed strong confidence in the upcoming election in Puthupally. He highlighted the consistent pro-Congress stance of the NSS (Nair Service Society) and emphasized that even the CPM’s state secretary admitted their lack of trust in NSS’s impartiality, suggesting a positive outlook. Sudhakaran criticized the CPM, accusing them of cowardice in the face of Oommen Chandy’s enduring influence, even after his passing.

The NSS’s politically neutral position provides a ray of hope for the Congress. The longstanding political inclination of NSS is well-known. Sudhakaran questioned the resistance to acknowledging the significant void left by Oommen Chandy. He critiqued the CPM’s strategy of containing the election to Puthupally, stating his belief that this approach will be thwarted.
