Bay of Bengal Low Pressure System May Bring Heavy Rainfall

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather warning, predicting the formation of a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal by September 30. This meteorological development has raised concerns of heavy rainfall in specific regions.

As a precautionary measure, a yellow alert has been issued for several districts in Kerala. On September 27, the districts of Alappuzha, Ernakulam, and Idukki are under alert, while on September 28, the alert extends to Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kozhikode, and Wayanad districts.

The alert serves as a reminder for residents and authorities to stay vigilant and prepared for potential heavy rain and its associated impact on daily life and infrastructure. It is advisable for residents in the affected regions to stay updated on weather forecasts and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during adverse weather conditions.

The IMD continues to monitor the situation, and further updates and advisories may be issued as the low-pressure system develops in the Bay of Bengal.
