Tragic Incident in Bengaluru: Malayali Man and Bengali Girl in Live-In Relationship Die After Setting Themselves Ablaze

In a heartbreaking incident, a live-in couple tragically ended their lives by setting themselves ablaze in their Bengaluru apartment on Sunday. The deceased individuals have been identified as 20-year-old Soumini Das from West Bengal and 29-year-old Abhil Abraham from Kerala. The couple resided on the fourth floor of an apartment building in the city.

The incident came to light when concerned neighbors noticed flames engulfing the flat and immediately alerted the authorities. Despite their brave attempts to douse the fire, Soumini lost her life on the spot, while Abhil succumbed to his injuries later at Victoria Hospital.

According to preliminary police reports, the couple had allegedly poured petrol on themselves before committing this tragic act. Investigations suggest that Soumini, who had moved to Bengaluru to pursue nursing studies, had met Abhil a few months ago, and the two had fallen in love. Shockingly, it was revealed that Soumini was already married to someone else in West Bengal.

Police suspect that the motive behind this devastating incident might be related to Soumini’s husband discovering her extramarital relationship. A thorough investigation has been initiated to unravel the circumstances leading to this tragic event, shedding light on the complexities of human relationships and the consequences of undisclosed affairs.
