In anticipation of the Sabarimala pilgrimage season, special weekly train services have been initiated to connect Chennai Central to Kottayam. The dedicated train services aim to facilitate the smooth transportation of pilgrims participating in the Sabarimala darshan.
The train with number 06027 will commence its journey from Chennai at 11:30 PM on November 19, 26, and also on December 3, 24, and 31. It is scheduled to arrive at Kottayam by 1:10 PM the following day. The return train, numbered 06028, will depart from Kottayam at 7 PM on November 20, 27, and also on December 4, 11, 18, and 25. The return journey will conclude at Chennai by 10:30 AM on the respective following days.
During their journey, these special trains will make stops at key stations such as Perambur, Jollarpettai, Salem, Erode, Palakkad, Thrissur, and Aluva, ensuring convenient connectivity for the pilgrims.
These special weekly train services are expected to play a crucial role in accommodating the travel needs of devotees during the Sabarimala pilgrimage season, offering a reliable and efficient mode of transportation.
