Paramekkavu Devaswom Plans Mini Pooram to Welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Thrissur

As part of the grand reception planned for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mahila Sangam in Thrissur on January 3, Paramekkavu Devaswom is considering organizing a mini Pooram. G Rajesh, the Secretary of Paramekkavu Devaswom, revealed that discussions have begun, although a final decision is pending. The proposed festivities may include a Kudamattam featuring 15 elephants and a vibrant chendamelam with the participation of 200 instrumentalists.

While the current route for the Prime Minister’s roadshow is set to pass through Thekkinkadu from St. Thomas Road, the itinerary might be adjusted if Paramekkavu Devaswom proceeds with the mini Pooram. It’s worth noting that a similar Pooram was successfully organized when the Pope visited Thrissur in the past.
