Exploring Kerala’s Beauty on Two Wheels: The Kerala Odyssey by Bicycle

In a unique exploration of Kerala’s diverse landscapes, a group of 11 cyclists from North India embarked on an eight-day journey named ‘The Kerala Odyssey.’ Led by Philip Kuruvilla of KEG bikers, the expedition covered 500 km, weaving through the coastal beauty of Fort Kochi, the chilly hills of Munnar, green paddy fields of Kumarakom, and the wilderness of the Periyar sanctuary. This cycling adventure provided a blend of challenging terrains, cultural encounters, and natural wonders, allowing the riders to experience the state’s vibrant ecosystems, from the lush Western Ghats to the serene backwaters.

The cyclists, comprising corporate professionals and entrepreneurs, overcame challenges like uphill climbs and explored unique ecosystems, including cardamom, pepper, and coffee plantations. The journey showcased Kerala’s rich biodiversity, picturesque landscapes, and vibrant culture, making it a memorable cycling odyssey that went beyond traditional sightseeing, offering an immersive experience of the state’s beauty.
