Keep these tips in mind when applying oil to your hair to prevent it from falling out

New Delhi: Hair oiling has been practised for centuries; hair requires some amount of natural oil to maintain its colour, shine, and lustre, as well as to help protect it from the harmful sun.

“Oiling your hair improves circulation in the scalp and stimulates the hair follicle. While there is no direct link between oiling and hair growth, regular oiling can protect your hair and keep it from becoming dry “The Esthetic Clinics’ Consultant Dermatologist, Cosmetic Dermatologist, and Dermato-Surgeon, Rinky Kapoor, believes.

Oiling the hair helps prevent it from becoming dry. It also seal the cuticle and helps the hair strands heal.

Oiling must be done correctly in order to be beneficial to your hair. Make sure you don’t rub the oil in too hard and that you don’t leave it on for more than an hour. If you leave the oil on your hair for an extended period of time, it can clog the pores and prevent oxygen from reaching the hair, resulting in damaged hair, boils on the scalp, and eventually hair loss.

Furthermore, oiling is not recommended for people who have dandruff or a naturally oily scalp. Excessive oil application attracts dust and particles to the scalp. Different hair oils have different benefits, and you can choose one based on your hair concern; however, don’t overdo it.
