Riyadh Air Receives Over 1 Million Job Applications Ahead of Inauguration

Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new airline, has garnered immense attention even before its official launch, with over 1 million job applications flooding in from around the globe. The airline, announced by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in March last year, aims to create 200,000 new jobs and generate significant revenue in the non-oil sector.

Since the announcement, Riyadh Air has received online applications from more than 100 countries, demonstrating the widespread interest in the job opportunities offered by the airline. Additionally, recruitment events held in prominent cities such as London, Paris, Dubai, and Riyadh have further fueled the influx of applications.

Despite being a year away from its inauguration, Riyadh Air has already outlined ambitious plans to operate flights to approximately 100 key cities worldwide by 2030. The company’s vision aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader economic diversification goals, aiming to bolster the non-oil sector and contribute to economic growth.

With orders placed for 72 aircraft, Riyadh Air is poised to make a significant impact on the aviation industry and job market in the Gulf region. The company’s rapid expansion and high demand for employment opportunities underscore its potential to become a major player in the global airline industry.

As Riyadh Air prepares to commence operations at the beginning of next year, the overwhelming response from job seekers highlights the anticipation and excitement surrounding the new airline’s launch. With its ambitious growth plans and commitment to job creation, Riyadh Air represents a promising venture for both the Saudi economy and aspiring aviation professionals worldwide.
