Air India Enhances Support for Vistara Passengers Amid Merger

“How May I Assist?” Customer Support Program Launched as Vistara Merges with Air India

As Air India and Vistara prepare for their merger on November 11, the airline has introduced a comprehensive support system to ensure a seamless transition for Vistara passengers. To facilitate this process, Air India has rolled out additional resources, including help desk kiosks and customer service staff at key touchpoints across airports, especially in metro cities and hubs.

Vistara passengers can expect the same high-quality in-flight experience and routes following the merger, as the full-service carrier maintains continuity in its services. The Vistara aircraft will also be rebranded with a unique four-digit Air India code beginning with ‘2.’ Furthermore, customer support staff will be available at airports wearing “How may I assist you?” branded t-shirts to help with any inquiries or issues during the transition.

In addition to operational changes, Air India is in the process of migrating over 4.5 million Vistara loyalty program members to its own system. Over 270,000 customers who had booked Vistara flights have already been transferred to Air India, with more transitions expected. Concerns about service quality post-merger, given Air India’s ongoing transformation, have been addressed by the airline, reassuring passengers that the Vistara experience will be preserved.

The merger will create an expanded fleet of over 200 aircraft, offering connectivity to 90 destinations worldwide, further enhancing the airline’s reach and service offerings.
