Pattabhiraman review : Family hero Jayaram is here with a film of content

Pattabhiraman is Malayalam film starring Padmashree Jayaram in the title role. The film is shot in the city and nearby areas of Thiruvananthapuram. The movie is directed by Kannan Thamarakkulam who is famous with his previous films Chanakya thanthram and Thinkal Muthal Velli Vare among others.

Plot

Pattabhiraman is a family thriller. The films revolves around the life of a genuine and honest health inspector, Pattabhiraman. He is good by heart and he has hundred per cent commitment for his profession. He is a very relative character as a family man. Pattabhiraman is quite brave in his professional life. Pattabhiraman is always ready to take up the challenges that comes his way.

At times we may feel him as a perfect personality but in certain things he would appear rather strange.

The film highlights a very relevant social issue. It has beautifully narrated the challenges an ordinary human being has to deal with when he tries to tackle the issue.

Performance

After a considerable gap the male lead, Super star Jayaram- an already proven actor has displayed the magic of flawless and natural acting. Hareesh Kanaran, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Baiju and Premkumar among the other side cast has also displayed a praiseworthy performance.

When it comes to the female leads, both Miya George and Sheelu Abraham has played their part. Although the character of Miya as Tanuja Varma was a cliched grey-shaded one, her portrayal was good enough to keep the viewers hooked to the screen. The cameo role by Parvathy Nambiar deserves great applauds.

When we look at the negative side the director is the first or the only culprit. He has worked in so many films but still he keeps that touch of television serial. Most of the scenes ended like the episodes of daily soaps. Those soaps with unnecessary hype. Even the inclusion the character of Tanuja Varma was a sign of his inclination for daily soaps.

Keeping these few elements aside Pattabhiraman is a must watch film. The plot of the film is really relevant.
