Federal Bank has introduced a premium NRE savings account, Prospera, tailored specifically for expatriates seeking a comprehensive banking experience. This newly launched account offers several exclusive benefits, including free insurance coverage worth ₹60 lakh, airport lounge access, and reward points on debit card transactions. Additionally, as an introductory offer, customers can avail up to a 24% discount on flight and hotel bookings through selected travel platforms.
The official launch of Prospera took place at Federal Bank’s first-ever international press conference, led by Managing Director and CEO KVS Manian. Manian emphasized the bank’s strong connection with the Indian expatriate community, particularly in the Gulf region, and reiterated the institution’s commitment to meeting the financial needs of NRIs. He noted that Federal Bank facilitates nearly one-fifth of all individual remittances to India, reinforcing its leadership in the remittance sector.
“For over seven decades, we have been a trusted financial partner for expatriates worldwide. We understand that today’s NRIs seek more than just banking—they want services that align with their lifestyle and aspirations. Prospera is a step forward in that direction,” Manian stated.
Senior executives, including Joy P.V. (Executive Vice President & Country Head of Deposits), Eqbal Manoj (Executive Vice President), Arvind Karthikeyan (Chief Representative Officer, Abu Dhabi), and Sherin Kuriakose (Chief Representative Officer, Dubai), were also present at the event.
In addition to launching Prospera, Federal Bank introduced a new facility for NRIs to open Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS) accounts through its FedMobile banking app, enabling them to invest in the Indian stock market seamlessly. The bank also highlighted its leadership in remittance services, digital innovation in cross-border transactions, and a strong presence in key NRI markets, further reinforcing its role as a preferred banking partner for the global Indian diaspora.
