Vijay Deverakonda’s latest film, ‘Kingdom’, has made a significant impact at the box office within just three days of its release. The film, which hit theatres on July 31, has surpassed the Rs 30 crore mark in the domestic circuit, reflecting its strong commercial performance. The film experienced a significant drop on Friday and showed a mild recovery on Saturday.
According to a report by the media, ‘Kingdom’ amassed a total of Rs 33.5 crore nett, with an impressive Rs 8 crore nett earned on its first Saturday at the domestic box office. The Telugu film, which released in multiple languages, recorded an overall occupancy of 47.40 per cent on Day 3, peaking at 64.97 per cent during night shows.
The film, written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, stars Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role as Constable Surya, also known as Suri. The cast includes Satyadev as Suri’s elder brother, Bhagyashri Borse as Dr Madhu, and additional performances by Venkitesh VP and Ayyappa P Sharma.
‘Kingdom’ is produced by Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Creations, and Srikara Studios. Apart from Vijay Deverakonda, the film features Bhayashri Borse, Satyadev, Venkitesh, Manish Chaudhari and Baburaj among others. The Gowtam Tinnanuri-directed received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. Kalki (2024) and The Family Star (2024) were the last released movies of Vijay Deverakonda.
