COVID-19: 11 new cases and 4 recoveries reported in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid-19 has been confirmed to 11 persons in the state today, Health Minister KK Shailaja’s teacher said. Six patients from Idukki and five from Kottayam district have been confirmed, of the six in Idukki district, one is was from abroad (Spain) and two were from Tamil Nadu. Other 3 people got infected through contact. One of these is a doctor. A person from Kottayam district came from outside the state. 4 people got infected through contact. Two of them are health workers.

Four people in the state have got recovered today. Thiruvananthapuram, Malappuram, Kannur and Kasaragod districts were all negative. So far 342 people have been released from COVID. At present 123 people are receiving treatment in various hospitals across the state.

20,127 people are under observation in various districts of the state. Of these, 19,665 were in homes and 462 in hospitals. 99 people were admitted to the hospital today. A sample of 22,954 individuals with symptoms was sent for testing, of this 21,997 sample result are received and they are negative.

3 new hot spots have been declared. The new hot spots are Chathanoor in Kollam district, Sasthamkotta in Kottayam and Manarkkad in Kottayam district.
