Thiruvananthapuram Airport Sets New Passenger Record in 2023-24

Thiruvananthapuram International Airport has achieved a significant milestone, recording its highest-ever annual passenger traffic in the financial year 2023-24.

During this period, a total of 4.4 million passengers passed through the airport terminals, marking a substantial increase compared to the previous year’s figure of 3.46 million. This surge in passenger numbers underscores the growing importance of Thiruvananthapuram Airport as a key transportation hub.

Of the 4.4 million passengers, 2.4 million were domestic travelers, highlighting the airport’s role in facilitating domestic air travel. Additionally, 1.98 million passengers traveled internationally through the airport, reflecting its significance as an international gateway.

Bengaluru emerged as the most popular domestic destination among travelers, while Sharjah topped the list of international destinations. These statistics indicate the strong connectivity offered by Thiruvananthapuram Airport to major cities and global destinations.

The airport also witnessed an increase in the number of services, with a total of 29,778 air traffic movements (ATMs) recorded during the financial year 2023-24. This growth in ATMs further demonstrates the airport’s role in facilitating efficient air travel operations.
