Kerala’s Chief Minister Takes Inaugural Vande Bharat Express Journey from Kannur to Ernakulam amidst Tight Security

Kerala’s Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, embarked on his inaugural journey aboard the Vande Bharat Express, traveling from Kannur to Ernakulam. The CM chose the executive coach for his ride, which commenced at 3:40 PM. Stringent security measures were in place to ensure a safe and seamless voyage.

Substantial security preparations were undertaken at the Kannur railway station prior to the CM’s arrival. Apart from his personal security team, a significant police contingent led by the Kannur city police commissioner and railway police was present. Drones were deployed to inspect the railway tracks, and a dog squad was stationed as well.

In the meantime, there were no notable restrictions imposed on other passengers within the railway station. To address recent incidents of stone pelting at the Vande Bharat train, police presence was increased along the Kannur, Thalassery, and Mahe tracks.
