KSRTC Online Ticket Booking Transitions to a New Platform

The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has officially moved its online ticket booking service to a new platform starting today. The corresponding mobile application, “Ente KSRTC Neo OPRS,” is now available on both the Play Store and the App Store.

This transition to a new platform became necessary as the contract between KSRTC and AbhiBus, the previous provider of online reservation services, was set to expire on September 30. To assess the efficiency of the new service provider, bookings for KSRTC Swift buses were conducted on the new platform as a trial from May to August 31, yielding positive results. Consequently, a decision was made to integrate all buses into this system.

The updated platform offers the convenience of booking tickets from intermediate stops of a bus that has already commenced its journey. Furthermore, a live ticketing system has been introduced, with booking status updates delivered via text messages and WhatsApp.

The new system is also designed to expedite the processing of refund requests and includes a feature to check the status of refunds.
