Love Action Drama : Dhyaan’s maiden directorial flick couldn’t impress the audience

Love Action Drama is one of the most awaited Malayalam film of 2019. It is the first directorial venture of young actor Dhyaan Srinivasan. The film comes with half a dozen of some of the most prominent South Indian actors.

The lady superstar of Tamil film industry, Nayanthara plays the female lead opposite recent Malayalam sensation, Nivin Pauly. The expectation about this youngest director from the Srinivasan family was way too high. But it was a disappointment for people who kept that expectation.

Plot

Love Action Drama comes with quite ordinary plot with an issueless attempt to recreate ‘Dineshan’ and ‘Shobha’ from the superhit comedy film ‘Vadakkunokkiyanthram’. A spoiled brat Dineshan meets Shobha while struggling with a love failure. He falls for her in no time. Then he tries to win her love.

Although most of his attempts get a negative result the heroine easily falls for the hero. Then it is followed by a set of similar events as of old Dineshan and Shobha.

The worst part of the film is in almost all the scenes the hero holds a glass of liquor, like it is an inevitable thing.

Performance

Performance wise it was good. Everyone did their part beautifully with their limited scope. Senior actors including Mallika Sukumaran, Ranji Panicker and Srinivasan were fabulous.

The young actors Nayanthara, Aju Varghese, Nivin Pauly and Vinith’s cameo was also very good.

Unlike usual the songs composed by Shaan Rahman could not excite the audience. There were many songs but most of them fail to capture the heart and ears of the listeners.

Verdict

Love Action Drama shows more of a messy life than a content worthy movie.

The film may be promoted by the youngsters owing to its way of making. But for normal audience it is not worth enough to watch and enjoy.
