Impersonation Scandal Unfolds in PSC Exam; Youth Flees Amidst Invigilator’s Inspection

A case of impersonation shook the capital city during the university last grade (main) examination conducted by the Public Service Commission (PSC). The fraudulent incident transpired at Poojappura Chinnamma Memorial Girls High School, where a youth attempting to impersonate a candidate fled the exam hall upon sensing imminent detection. The examination, accommodating a total of 52,879 candidates, took place from 7.15 am to 9.15 am. Vigilant officials, tasked with verifying photo IDs and conducting biometric checks for Aadhaar-linked individuals, were in the process of scrutinizing candidates when the impersonator hastily escaped. Despite PSC staff chasing the youth, he managed to evade capture by swiftly departing on a waiting motorcycle.

PSC officials have announced their intention to file a complaint promptly, consulting with the PSC chairman. The hall ticket number, visibly written on the seat, provides a vital lead for tracing the absconding individual. Efforts to locate the impersonator will involve utilizing the hall ticket details and, upon apprehension, initiating an interrogation to ascertain the extent of the impersonation attempt.
