Covid 19: Bengal Extends Lockdown Till July 31

Bengal government has extended lockdown till July 31 with relaxations, the Mamata Banerjee government informed that during this phase of the lockdown schools and colleges will stay shut and train and metro services will not run.

The current phase of lockdown in the state targets only areas affected by the COVID-19 virus is about to end June 30, the same day that the fifth phase of the national lockdown is scheduled to end.

So far Bengal has 14,728 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 580 deaths linked to the virus. There are 9,218 active cases in the state.
