BJP Criticizes Congress for Wheelchair-bound Manmohan Singh in Rajya Sabha; Political Exchange Heats Up

New Delhi : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly criticized the Congress for bringing former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to the Rajya Sabha in a wheelchair for the voting on the Delhi Services Bill. The BJP denounced the act, stating that it was highly disgraceful to have Manmohan Singh, who is 90 years old, attend Parliament without proper consideration for his health.

“The nation will not forget this absurdity orchestrated by the Congress! They made a former prime minister sit in a wheelchair late at night in Parliament, all for the sake of preserving their dishonest alliance. This is truly shameful,” expressed the BJP.

In response, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate defended Manmohan Singh’s presence in the Rajya Sabha, highlighting it as a testament to his belief in democracy. “While the BJP is pushing their supporters to extremes, individuals like Manmohan Singh continue to inspire us with their unwavering commitment and courage,” she retorted.

Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party expressed gratitude towards Manmohan Singh’s presence. “Today, Dr. Manmohan Singh stood as a symbol of integrity in the Rajya Sabha, making a special effort to vote against the controversial ordinance. His steadfast dedication to democracy and the Constitution is truly inspirational. We extend our heartfelt thanks to him for his invaluable support,” stated Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha.
