Trump Faces USD 355 Million Fine in New York Civil Fraud Case

A New York judge has issued a significant ruling, ordering former US President Donald Trump and the Trump Organization to pay a fine of nearly USD 355 million in a civil fraud case. The judge’s decision also entails a three-year prohibition for Trump from acting as a company director in New York state. Additionally, Trump’s sons, Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump, have been directed to pay a fine of USD 4 million each, accompanied by a two-year ban on serving as directors. The ruling stems from a trial that concluded in January, where Trump and his sons were found liable for substantially inflating the values of their properties by hundreds of millions of dollars. Despite the verdict, Trump and his sons continue to deny any wrongdoing in the case, which adds another layer to the legal challenges faced by the former president.

The judge has not only imposed substantial fines but also issued bans on Trump and his sons from acting as company directors in New York state, lasting for three years for Trump and two years for his sons. This development adds to the legal woes of Donald Trump, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing, setting the stage for potential further legal battles and scrutiny.
