Headache is one of the most common problems that most people face. There may be several generic causes like stress, overthinking, noise, lack of sleep, etc. Headache can also occur when someone has poor vision problems or is wearing a head accessory which is too tight. Spending too much time on the computer or on the phone, too, may lead to tension in the head. But how can you treat it at home without taking medicines?
If you are having a headache in the middle of your work, then take about a ten-minute break. Just close your eyes and use your fingers to massage the scalp and the forehead area. A gentle yet firm massage for about 5-10 minutes can improve blood circulation and relieve stress. For this, you do not need oil. Simply move your fingers in the head and press them on the scalp at regular intervals.
Add ginger to hot water and stir it until it starts changing its colour a bit. Then transfer it to a cup and take one sip at a time.
Yoga and pranayama
Do simple yoga asanas like padmasana and vajrasana can help you relieve stress. Also, practice Nadi Shodana, popularly known as Anulom Vilom (Alternate Breathing) a technique that clears the energy channels by eliminating toxins from the body.
