Sushant Singh Rajput case: Celebrities who supports Rhea Chakraborty

Sushant Singh Rajput’s suspicious death has created a storm in Tinsel town. Many Bollywood celebs have been demanding justice for the late actor. However, only a few have been on the side of the actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, who has been accused of abetting the actor’s suicide, defrauding him and mentally exploiting him. Most of these celebs have spoke about the ‘media trial’ against Rhea and the campaigns being run against her on social media. Here’s taking a look at those celebs.

Swara Bhasker

Swara Bhasker has came against the ‘media trial’ of Rhea for quite some time now. In a recent tweet, she said that even Ajmal Amir Kasab, one of the 10 perpetrators of the 2008 Mumbai attacks, was not subjected to this kind of ‘media trial’ Rhea had been subjected to.

Her post read, “I don’t think even #Kasab was subjected to the kind of witch-hunt on media.. & media trial that #RheaChakrobarty is being subjected to! Shame on Indian Media.. Shame on us for being a toxic voyueristic public consuming this poisonous hysteria.. #RheaDrugChat #SushantSinghRajput”

Richa Chadha also tweeted against the supposed media trial of Rhea. In one of her tweets, the actress, referring to the media coverage of Sushant’s case,

Ram Gopal Varma

Ram Gopal Varma has also labelled the media coverage of Sushant Singh Rajput’s case as ‘witch-hunting’ against Rhea. Earlier, he had also condemned those who claimed that nepotism in the film industry was responsible for Sushant’s death.

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor was the first Bollywood celeb to show her support for Rhea. In a tweet, a day after Sushant’s death, she had written, “Blaming a girlfriend , ex girlfriend, family , colleagues for someone’s death is ignorant and fucking mean spirited.” The actress had faced a lot of criticism for her post and she has stayed away from the matter since then.
