Controversial State Film Award Dispute to be Reviewed by High Court Today

Today, the High Court is scheduled to address the petition contesting the State Film Award decision. The petitioner has formally requested the involvement of the Secretary of the Department of Culture, aligning with the High Court’s instructions. Additionally, Director Vinayan and jury member Jency Gregory have been proposed as parties to be included. The petitioner in question is Lijeesh Mullezhath, the director of the film “Akasha Khudu.” Previously, the High Court had summoned the Director of the Culture Department for clarification.
