Pinarayi Vijayan; Smart kitchen project to reduce the rigors of household chores

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the smart kitchen project will be implemented to reduce the rigor of domestic work. He was speaking at a press conference after the first cabinet meeting.

The manifesto promised to help women engaged in domestic work. It also promised to implement a smart kitchen project to reduce the rigor of household chores. The Chief Minister said that the Chief Secretary, Local Government Secretary, and the Secretary, Department of Women and Child Welfare have been tasked to formulate this scheme which will reduce the workload of housewives in our country and protect the domestic workers.

The CM added that priority would be given to uplifting the status of women in the state. Gender budgeting of state government and local government bodies will be strengthened. He said the state-wide initiative would help reduce violence against women and children and create public intervention based on crime mapping.
