Body language signs that reveal a person’s personality

They do not have to always speak and tell to get to know someone. Certain gestures, or signs made by the body involuntarily, can help determine the personality of the other. How eager is she or he to speak with you? Is the person passing judgment on you? Is he more of a follower or a leader? There are numerous such aspects that can be understood and used to help you discover your inner Sherlock Holmes!

Evaluation & Power

If someone pinches his or her nose bridge, it indicates that you are being evaluated negatively.
Do you have your shoulders pushed back? This indicates that he or she is likely to be courageous and powerful.

Decision making & confidence

Do you notice someone touching her/his ears? It denotes that this person lacks decisiveness.
Is your head bowed when you compliment someone? If the answer is yes, it indicates that the individual lacks confidence and is shy.

Interest & vulnerability

Is he nodding while you speak? Then he’s interested in what you’re saying. However, if there is too much nodding, the interest is lost, but the person is probably not trying to be rude or hurt your feelings.
When using your hands, if the palms are facing upwards, it indicates that the person is open and vulnerable to you at that time.

Respect & control

When someone points his or her thumb at someone, it demonstrates a lack of respect for that person.
Control is indicated by pointing your entire arm at someone.

Patience & disagreement

If she is scratching her neck during a conversation and it is not a genuine itch, she is likely to disagree with you.
If you see someone sitting with their hands on their knees and leaning forward, it means they want to leave.

Analysation

If you notice someone staring into your eyes for an extended period of time and making you feel uneasy, it is likely that he or she is lying while speaking. If they are simply staring at you without blinking, it means you are being examined.
