RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Asserts India’s Cultural Heritage and Unity

During the inauguration of the new building for Shri Narkesari Prakashan Ltd., which publishes the newspaper ‘Dainik Tarun Bharat,’ Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, the Chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), made a significant statement. He asserted that India is a “Hindu Rashtra” and emphasized that all Indians are Hindus, highlighting the unity and shared cultural heritage of the country.

Bhagwat stated that “Hindustan (India) is a ‘Hindu Rashtra,’ and this is a fact. Ideologically, all Bharatiyans (Indians) are Hindus, and Hindus mean all Bharatiyans. All those who are in Bharat (India) today are related to Hindu culture, Hindu ancestors, and Hindu land, nothing other than these.”

He acknowledged that while some have understood and embraced this perspective, others may not have fully grasped it for various reasons, including habits, self-interest, or simply a lack of awareness.

Bhagwat also stressed the importance of responsible journalism, emphasizing the need for fair and fact-based reporting that encompasses all segments of society while maintaining one’s own ideological integrity. He noted that the RSS ideology holds significant global respect and has no alternative.

Bhagwat mentioned that some people have recognized this ideology while others have not, highlighting the global responsibility placed on the country, society, and media outlets that propagate this ideology.

In addition to discussing ideological aspects, Bhagwat emphasized the importance of environmental conservation, promoting indigenous goods (“Swadeshi”), preserving family values, and upholding discipline.
