Continuing Rain in Multiple Kerala Districts, Yellow Alert Issued in Two Areas

Persistent moderate rainfall persists across various districts of Kerala, including the state capital. Over the next three hours, rain is expected in isolated areas of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Kozhikode, according to the Central Meteorological Department. Additionally, the department predicts the possibility of light rain in isolated spots within Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod. A yellow alert has been issued for Idukki and Wayanad today.

Meanwhile, the Central Meteorological Department has declared that there are no fishing restrictions along the coasts of Kerala, Karnataka, and Lakshadweep.

  • September 14, 2023: Anticipate strong winds and adverse weather conditions with speeds ranging from 40 to 45 kmph, occasionally reaching up to 55 kmph, along the Sri Lanka Coast and the South Bay of Bengal adjoining the Central Bay of Bengal.
