KPCC History Congress Marks Vaikom Satyagraha Centenary Celebrations

The KPCC (Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee) is set to commence a two-day history Congress as part of the Vaikom Satyagraha Centenary celebrations. The event, scheduled to take place at the Kowdiar Uday Palace Convention Center, will be inaugurated by Congress Working Committee member and AICC SC, ST, OBC, and Minorities Department National Coordinator K Raju. KPCC President K Sudhakaran MP will preside over the event, and Opposition leader VD Satheesan will deliver the keynote address. The history Congress aims to commemorate the Vaikom Satyagraha Centenary and will include a seminar on ‘Vaikkam Satyagraha and Social Reform,’ art programs, and an open forum on the Kerala Renaissance topic featuring Dr. Shashi Tharoor MP, Sunny Kapicadu, and CP John.

The second day of the Congress will feature an international seminar inaugurated by Dr. Gopal Guru, former editor of Economic and Political Weekly, with Dr. Shashi Tharoor delivering the keynote address. The event will also include a family meeting of the descendants of Vaikom Satyagraha fighters, which will be inaugurated by Congress Working Committee member Ramesh Chennithala. The concluding session will be inaugurated by AICC General Secretary Tariq Anwar, with the participation of secretaries PC Vishnunath, Roji M John, Jebi Mather, VT Balram, and others. The Vaikom Satyagraha Centenary Celebration Committee expects over a thousand delegates to participate in the function.
