Over a million children aged 15 to 18 were immunised with the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine
Over 1 crore children aged 15 to 18 years have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in the country, according to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday. ‘Superb enthusiasm among Young India for Vaccination,’ wrote the Minister on Twitter.
“On the third day of the vaccination drive for children, over 1 crore children aged 15 to 18 received their first dose of #COVID19 vaccine.” “I urge all eligible young friends to get vaccinated as soon as possible,” Mandaviya tweeted.

Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 cases in India has risen sharply, with 58,097 new cases reported in the previous 24 hours, according to data released on Wednesday by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. So far, 2,135 cases of the Omicron coronavirus have been identified across the country.
