Since March 18, India has recorded the fewest daily COVID-19 cases.

According to data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Tuesday, India reported 37,566 new Covid-19 cases and 907 deaths in the last 24 hours. This is the lowest number of new Covid cases since March 18.

It is the second time in over two and a half months that the death toll has fallen below 1,000, and the 11th time in the last two months that it has fallen below 2,000.

The total caseload increased to 3,03,16,897 after India surpassed the three-crore mark for Covid cases last Wednesday.

After the United States, India has recorded more than three crore cases of Covid, with one crore cases added in the last 50 days.

It is also the 22nd day in a row that India has reported fewer than one lakh new coronavirus cases. On March 18, India had 39,726 cases, while on June 22nd, India had 42,640 cases.

The number of active cases has now fallen below 6 lakh. The country currently has 5,52,659 active cases and has seen 3,97,637 deaths.

According to the Union Health Ministry, 56,994 people were discharged in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of discharges to 2,93,66,601 to date.

According to the Health Ministry, a total of 32,90,29,510 people have been vaccinated in the country, with 52,76,457 receiving vaccines in the last 24 hours.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 40,81,39,287 samples were tested for Covid-19 as of June 28. On Monday, 17,68,008 of these samples were tested.
