PM Modi Set to Launch BJP’s Election Campaign in Kerala During Upcoming Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, and Kerala on January 3 is set to kickstart the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) election campaign, specifically focusing on women empowerment. The Prime Minister is scheduled to attend a women’s conference in Thrissur, Kerala, where the BJP aims to draw a crowd of over 2 lakh women from various sectors, including ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, MGNREGA workers, entrepreneurs, and social activists. The strategic move is seen as an attempt to connect with female voters and build support across party lines, setting the tone for the BJP’s electoral strategy in the Thrissur constituency. The party’s focus on women empowerment aligns with its broader agenda to address issues affecting diverse sections of society and gain a foothold in the state.

In addition to the political events, PM Modi will inaugurate and dedicate several development projects in Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep. These initiatives, totaling over Rs 19,850 crore, include the inauguration of the Kochi-Lakshadweep Islands Submarine Optical Fiber Connection (KLI – SOFC) project. This groundbreaking project is set to substantially increase internet speed in Lakshadweep, marking the first-ever connection of the islands through a Submarine Optical Fiber Cable. The Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation the Low-Temperature Thermal Desalination (LTTD) plant at Kadmat, aimed at producing 1.5 lakh litres of clean drinking water daily, and launch other vital projects contributing to the region’s infrastructure and welfare.
