Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch 22 development projects totaling Rs 870 crore in Varanasi

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay foundation stones and launch 22 development projects worth Rs 870 crores in Varanasi, his Lok Sabha seat, providing his Bharatiya Janata Party a significant boost ahead of the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. PM Modi will lay the cornerstone for ‘Banas Dairy Sankul’ in the UP State Industrial Development Authority Food Park, according to the Prime Minister’s Office. The dairy, which will be built on 30 acres of land, will cost roughly Rs 475 crores and have a daily capacity of 5 lakh gallons of milk.

This, it was believed, will boost the rural economy and benefit farmers in the region by providing new possibilities. Furthermore, the Prime Minister will digitally transfer a Rs 35 crore incentive to the bank accounts of around 1.7 lakh milk farmers associated with Banas Dairy. The Prime Minister will also lay the groundwork for a biogas-powered electricity generating plant for the Milk Producers Cooperative Union Plant in Ramnagar, Varanasi, according to the release. It will be a crucial step toward the Milk Producers Cooperative Union Plant achieving energy self-sufficiency.

PM Modi will unveil a website and logo for the Milk Product Conformity Assessment Scheme, which was developed by the Bureau of Indian Standards in collaboration with the National Dairy Development Board.

PM Modi will also lay the groundwork for a variety of city development initiatives, including six projects to rebuild Old Kashi wards, a parking and surface park at Beniabag, and the installation of advanced surveillance cameras at 720 locations as part of the Smart City Mission. In the field of education, the Prime Minister will dedicate the Union Education Ministry’s Inter-University Centre for Teachers Education, which will cost approximately Rs 107 crore, as well as a Teachers Education Centre at the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies, which will cost approximately Rs 7 crore.

The Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Centre will open a Rs 130 crore facility in the health sector that would feature a physicians’ dorm, a nurses’ hostel, and a shelter home. In Bhadrasi, Prime Minister Modi plans to build a 50-bed Integrated Ayush Hospital. He will also lay the groundwork.
