Prolonged Heavy Rains Expected in Kerala Until Sunday; Yellow Alert Issued in 10 Districts Today

The meteorological department has forecasted continuous heavy rainfall in Kerala, extending until Sunday. This persistent downpour is a result of a low-pressure system forming in both the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.

Due to these heavy rains, yellow alerts have been issued for Saturday in 10 districts, including Alappuzha, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod. Additionally, districts such as Ernakulam, Kozhikode, and Kannur will continue to be on yellow alert on Sunday as well.
