Naga Chaitanya breaks his silence on Samantha’s divorce rumours, calling it “painful.”
New Delhi: Divorce rumors involving South actor Naga Chaitanya and Family Man 2 actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu have been circulating for quite some time. Naga finally spoke his heart out after days of silence.
Naga Chaitanya recently broke his silence in an interview with Baradwaj Rangan for Film Companion South, addressing how rumors about his personal life are hurting him. “Initially, yes, it was a little painful,” he admitted. ‘Why is entertainment going this way?’ I wondered. But, after that, I’ve discovered that in today’s world, news replaces news.
Naga went on to say, “It doesn’t linger long in people’s minds. The real news, the news that matters will continue to exist. However, the superficial news, which is used to generate TRPs, is forgotten. It no longer bothered me after I made this observation.”
He also stated that he prefers to keep his private life ‘private.’ “I think I kept my personal life personal and my professional life separate from the start of my career. I never combined the two. I’ve always had a habit that I picked up from my parents; whenever they came home, they never talked about work. When they went to work, their personal lives were never diluted by work. They always maintained a very nice balance, which I always noticed.”
For the uninitiated, the rumors of a ChaySam divorce (as their fans refer to them) gained traction after Sam removed Akkineni (her surname) from her social media handles.
On the professional front, she made her digital debut in Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘The Family Man Season 2,’ which earned her a lot of love and appreciation. She even won the Best Actress (Series) award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2021 for her performance as Raji in The Family Man Season 2.
