As farmers refuse to budge, the ISI continues to try to sabotage the protests.

The Intelligence Bureau has warned yet again that the ISI and its proxies will attempt to sabotage the ongoing farmer protests. The incident has been reported to the Delhi Police and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

As a precautionary measure in the wake of the potential threat, three Metro stations in Delhi will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a Delhi Police advisory.

According to ANI, officials have sent a letter to the police warning that ISI proxies based in Pakistan may try to sabotage the farmers’ protest, which has been going on for 7 months. According to ANI, the Delhi Police have tightened security and made adequate preparations, while also responding with manpower outside Metro stations.

This is not the first time the ISI has attempted to persuade its elements to sabotage protests. The IB issued an alert in December, stating that Pakistan-based Khalistani groups are being pushed by their handlers to exploit the farmers’ agitation in Punjab in order to resurrect militancy in the state.

The ISI attempted to infiltrate the protests in January as well. The Intelligence Bureau had previously warned that pro-Khalistan elements backed by Pakistan’s ISI would attempt to hijack the protests and disrupt the peace in Delhi.

In January, the Delhi Police said that over 300 Twitter handles were traced to Pakistan and used to sabotage the rally. Sikhs for Justice, a banned organisation, has threatened to strike and has even attempted to influence the farmers’ protest on several occasions.

The CISF control room allegedly received a call from the SJF, which played a message from Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. The SJF has staged protests outside Indian consulates in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada, claiming to support the farmers’ protests.
