Kerala on High Alert as Cyclonic Circulations Threaten Bay of Bengal
Kerala is on high alert due to the potential development of cyclonic circulations in the Bay of Bengal. The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has reported that the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning regarding a cyclonic circulation in the North-East Bay of Bengal. Additionally, there is a chance that a new cyclonic circulation could form in the West Bay of Bengal by September 3.
Within the next 48 hours, the newly forming cyclonic circulation may strengthen and become a low-pressure area. Consequently, Kerala can expect moderate rainfall to persist for the next five days. The IMD has also forecasted the likelihood of heavy rainfall occurring at isolated locations between September 1 and 5.
