Kerala Introduces Queue-Free Liquor Delivery System at Cochin International Airport

In Kerala, long queues at liquor outlets, particularly during festive seasons like Onam and Christmas, have been a persistent issue, prompting court interventions. To address this, premium counters were introduced where consumers could purchase liquor above a certain price without margins.

Now, inspired by systems in foreign countries, a novel approach has been adopted at Cochin International Airport. Within the duty-free shop, a vehicle is deployed to deliver goods, including alcohol, directly to customers. This innovative feature allows patrons to buy liquor without waiting in queues, especially during peak hours at the airport shops.
