Enhancing English Language Learning in Schools: Innovative Projects Unveiled by Minister V Sivankutty

Minister V Sivankutty has announced the initiation of targeted initiatives aimed at enhancing English language learning in schools within the state. These projects leverage advanced technology to facilitate effective language acquisition among students. The minister made this announcement during the digital Freedom Fest 2023 conference.

One such initiative is the Kite e-Language Lab, a freely available software system engineered to streamline language learning through technology. It focuses on imparting language skills, including English, in a manner that is comprehensible and engaging for children. Additionally, the E-Cube English program has been developed to provide an enjoyable avenue for children to learn English.

The Bangalore Regional Institute of English and IT for Change conducted a comprehensive assessment both prior to and following the implementation of these projects. The findings of this study highlight a noticeable improvement in the English language proficiency of students in schools where these initiatives were introduced. The minister emphasized that a thorough examination of the study’s results will guide future actions. Furthermore, the minister unveiled the E-Cube English study report during the event.
