PM Modi to Inaugurate Amrit Bharat Train with Push-Pull Technology in Ayodhya

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch the first Amrit Bharat train equipped with push-pull technology from Ayodhya soon, according to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The innovative push-pull technology, featuring engines at both ends of the train, enhances safety and efficiency. The train, designed for comfort and convenience, incorporates several new features, including a special coupler to eliminate jerk effects during stops and starts. Vaishnaw highlighted the significant role played by Indian engineers in implementing both distributed power and push-pull technologies in the country’s railway system.

The Amrit Bharat train, set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi, will utilize push-pull technology, featuring engines at both the front and rear ends of the train. This technology is known for providing better acceleration and deceleration, resulting in time savings at critical points such as bridges and curves. The train is expected to cover the distance between Delhi and Kolkata approximately two hours faster than traditional trains. Additionally, the Amrit Bharat train introduces a semi-permanent coupler to eliminate jerks during starts and stops, ensuring a smoother ride for passengers.

Railway Minister Vaishnaw emphasized the collaborative efforts of Indian engineers in implementing these advanced technologies in the country’s railway system. The train’s design prioritizes passenger comfort, incorporating features such as air-conditioned loco cabins, cushioned seats in general coaches, charging points at every seat, and designated space for water bottles. The introduction of the Amrit Bharat train reflects India’s commitment to modernizing its railway infrastructure and providing a superior travel experience for its citizens.
