The death toll from the disease has risen to 13,093 with the confirmation of 104 new cases. Despite the fact that more deaths have been reported, the state has yet to identify them as COVID deaths. The National Institute of Virology in Alappuzha is conducting tests.

There are 99,174 active cases in the state now

The following are the key points from the CM’s press conference:

• The state’s test positivity rate is currently around 10%.

• We were able to reduce the TPR from 29.75 percent to 10%. However, the pace of progress is slow.

• The lockdown cannot be extended indefinitely. As a result, we are introducing new relaxations.

• The in TPR is troubling. We are hopeful that it will be removed soon.
