Some reports say Shahid Kapoor did not reject Rockstar. Imtiaz Ali approached Shahid with the scripts Jab We Met and Rockstar. When asked to choose , he chose Jab We Met, and gave a big break in his career. Shahid lived as Aditya Kashyap, and we could not think of any other actor would have done justice to his role.
