Raj Kundra’s police arrest has been extended to July 27, and police assume he used porn money to gamble online
New Delhi: Raj Kundra’s police detention has been prolonged to July 27, 2021. On Monday night, he was arrested by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch in connection with the production of pornographic videos and their distribution via several apps (July 19, 2021).
Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe have been placed in police detention until July 27, 2021.
According to ANI, Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe were brought before a Magistrate Court and asked for 7 days in police custody in connection with a case involving the creation of pornographic films.
The Mumbai Crime Branch is now suspecting an online betting angle in the blockbuster case of pornography involving millionaire Raj Kundra. Adult movies have been retrieved from the infamous app HotShots, and a san box has been seized.
Cops are looking into a deal between Raj Kundra and a dealer involving 19 adult flicks. Officials from the Crime Branch informed the court that they suspect money made from porn was utilized for online gambling. Kundra’s laptop was confiscated, and 48 TB of data and 51 adult movies were retrieved.
The authorities have a copy of Viaan Industries’ accountant’s statement, and he claims that up to £4000 to £10,000 is spent every month. Raj Kundra was given the vouchers and bills. Furthermore, so far, the IT developer’s statement has been recorded.
According to officials, a day after Kundra’s arrest, the accountant destroyed some material, which is now being recovered.
Kundra was charged with cheating under IPC Sections 420, 34 (common intention), obscene and indecent ads and exhibitions under IPC Sections 292 and 293, and applicable sections of the IT the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
