Lord Guruvayoorappan Receives Golden Crown on Ashtamirohini Day
On Wednesday, a golden crown will be bestowed upon Lord Guruvayurappan during the Ashtamirohini day. This remarkable gift is being presented by KV Rajesh Acharya, a gold merchant from Coimbatore, and a member of the Kainur Tharavadu in Thrissur, as a special birthday offering.
This exquisite golden crown holds a weight of 38 sovereigns and will be offered to Guruvayurappan on the auspicious occasion of Ashtamirohini. Any offerings received on that day will be adorned on the deity and subsequently documented in the Devaswom’s register before being placed in a secure locker.
Notably, just last month, Durga, the wife of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin, made a similar offering of a 32-sovereign gold crown to Guruvayurappan. During the Chathaya celebration, Guruvayoorappan was also presented with a magnificent golden ‘kindi’ weighing around one hundred sovereigns, which was generously gifted by the TVS Group. Furthermore, in September 2021, businessman Dr. Ravi Pillai presented a stunning 725-gram gold crown adorned with a single emerald stone to the deity.
