Kerala’s Health Minister, Veena George, has confirmed that there have been no new cases of Nipah virus reported in the state. She further disclosed that 21 individuals are currently in isolation at the medical college, and the results of 94 samples have returned negative.
Veena George also highlighted the establishment of medical boards in hospitals caring for Nipah patients, with two children currently under observation at the IMCH (Institute of Maternal and Child Health). Up until the previous day, there had been six confirmed positive cases. The minister additionally noted that the health condition of those undergoing treatment remains satisfactory.
