Budget-Friendly Year-End Getaways: Goa Tops the List

As the year comes to a close, holiday enthusiasts are on the lookout for affordable destinations to celebrate the festive season. Agoda, a renowned online travel platform, has unveiled its findings, highlighting the most budget-friendly spots across Asia Pacific for the final ten days of the year.

Among these, Goa in India emerges as the most economical choice, offering an average room rate of Rs 7,621 between December 22 and 31. The list includes other affordable destinations such as Hat Yai in Thailand, Yogyakarta in Indonesia, Kuching in Malaysia, and Dalat in Vietnam.

Krishna Rathi, Agoda’s Country Director for India, Sri Lanka, and Maldives, noted the significant surge in travel across Asia in 2023, emphasizing the importance of finding budget-friendly options during the peak holiday season. Despite their affordability, these destinations provide diverse experiences, from serene beaches and exciting theme parks to cultural landmarks and culinary delights.
