Kerala Braces for Prolonged Heavy Rainfall Due to Cyclonic Storm

In response to the transformation of a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal into a cyclonic storm, Kerala is expected to face continuous and intensified rainfall until October 28, as per the latest weather alert. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings, indicating that heavy rains are on the horizon for the state.

According to the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA), specific regions such as Thrissur, Alappuzha, and Palakkad districts are anticipated to experience substantial rainfall during the morning hours of Wednesday. In response to the escalating weather conditions, KSDMA had recently issued a lightning alert, cautioning residents to remain indoors due to the heightened likelihood of thunderstorms.
