Following the receipt of 10 lakh doses, the number of camps was increased. According to Health Minister Veena George, more vaccines will be distributed based on availability.

The vaccine was administered to a total of 51,99,069 women and 48,68,860 men. So far, 1,16,41,451 Covishield doses and 11,17,931 Covaxin doses have been administered.

A total of 22,68,228 people between the ages of 18 and 44, 37,94,936 between the ages of 45 and 60, and 39,93,967 over the age of 60 have been immunised.

Kerala’s effective nurses
Kerala received 1,24,01,800 doses of vaccine, including those allocated by the Centre and procured directly. However, thanks to the hard work of efficient nurses at government and private hospitals, a total of 1,27,59,404 lakh vaccine doses were administered, resulting in 3,57,604 excess doses.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had previously directed other states to follow Kerala’s lead, as it had effectively used the extra dose available as a wastage factor in each vial.
